Intense semifinal matches set to define Concachampions finalists: Pachuca vs. América and Monterrey vs. Columbus Crew

The matches to define the finalist teams of the Concachampions will be played between April 23 and May 1

This Monday the dates and times for the semifinal duels of the Concacaf Champions Cup were announced, which have Pachuca vs. Pachuca as keys. América and on the other Monterrey face the Columbus Crew of the MLS.

The first legs will be held between April 23 and 24, to meet the finalists between April 30 and May 1.

First leg: Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. CDMX (10:15 p.m. ET) at the Azteca Stadium
Return: Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 7:15 p.m. (9:15 p.m. ET) at the Hidalgo Stadium

This is the crossing with which the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinal series will begin and, consequently, the first finalist team will also emerge from there. Unlike the quarterfinals, in which New England Revolution chose to open the series at home, América will close the tie against Pachuca as a visitor.

América began the path to the Concacaf Champions Cup title from the first round of the competition, in which they beat Real Estelí 3-2. They subsequently beat Chivas 5-3 in the round of 16 and cruised past New England Revolution 9-2 on aggregate to reach the semi-finals.

On the other hand, Pachuca, as Apertura 2022 champion, entered action from the round of 16. They debuted with a 6-0 win over Philadelphia Union and then beat Herediano of Costa Rica 7-1 to seal their ticket to the semifinals against América.

It is the key that will define the last guest to the grand final of the Concacaf Champions Cup. The series that faces Monterrey, representative of Liga MX, and Columbus Crew, of the MLS, will close on the Rayados field on the next first of May.

Monterrey was there since the first round of the Concacaf championship. They started with a 7-1 win over Comunicaciones, then beat Cincinnati 3-1 and beat Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami with a score of 5-2.

Columbus Crew, as MLS champion in 2023, entered action from the round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions Cup. It started with a 2-1 against Houston Dynamo, then caused the surprise after eliminating Tigres in the quarterfinals. in a series that went all the way to penalties.
