The young (19 year old) French winger hopes to be able to apply for a place in Vincent Collet’s group for the Paris Games next summer.

“It should be good” for the Paris Olympic Games, French basketball player Bilal Coulibaly, who is treating a wrist injury sustained at the end of a promising first NBA season with the Washington Wizards, told AFP.

Victim of a broken right wrist in early March, Coulibaly was due to remove his cast on Friday in Washington, and must now return to France for vacation, before returning to the United States on May 6 for his rehabilitation. “I was a little disappointed to be injured. I was afraid of the duration. But it should be good! So I can’t wait to be there (at the Paris Olympics). Hoping to be 100%, without restraint and to be able to show what I am worth to be selected”said this great hope of French basketball.

The future of Wizards

At 19 years old, Bilal Coulibaly has just finished his first NBA season, after being drafted in 7th position last June. Within a team in disarray (penultimate in the East), the young winger was able to make the most of significant playing time, to represent the future of the Wizards in reconstruction.
