One of the trusts given by PSSI to STY is through a project to grant citizenship to players of Indonesian descent who play in Europe.

Shin Tae Yong was contracted by PSSI from the end of 2019 until the end of 2023. However, after that PSSI extended STY’s contract until the end of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. After achieving the target of qualifying from the group phase, PSSI continued collaborating with STY.

Meanwhile, Soha believes that the Indonesian U-23 National Team can still make another surprise, namely aiming to win the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.

“Even though coach Shin Tae Yong’s team is underestimated compared to its opponents, they have the basis to aim for a much bigger and more difficult goal, namely the championship title,” said Soha.

The Indonesian U-23 national team will face Uzbekistan in the semifinals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Monday (29/4) evening.
