Bayern newcomer Nestory Irankunda is making a name for himself again. The 18-year-old scored his next dream goal in Australia. He will be under contract with the record champions from summer onwards.
Adelaide/Munich – Will a youngster shoot FC Bayern out of the crisis and back to titles in the coming season? If you look at the current dream goals and the hit rate of newcomer Nestory Irankunda, it seems quite possible. The just 18-year-old is currently causing a sensation in the Australian A-League.
Next dream goal: Bayern newcomer Irankunda shines in Australia
It was just two weeks ago that the Australian single-handedly decided his team Adelaide United’s basement duel against Western United. With three remarkable goals, Irankunda became the match winner – and even set a new record: he is the youngest player to ever score a hat-trick in the A-League.
Now came the next stroke of genius from the strong dribbling and lightning-fast winger. It’s the 20th minute of the home game against Macarthur FC. Irankunda is positioned on the right side and starts dribbling. With a short hook he goes past his opponent and finishes from the right edge of the penalty area into the left corner. Guest keeper Filip Kurto cannot prevent the powerful strike that leaves the score 0-1 behind.

FC Bayern is looking forward to an offensive gem
Even though Adelaide gave up the game by conceding two late goals, fans and those in charge at FC Bayern should be excited about Irankunda’s next dream goal. The record champions announced the signing of the highly gifted offensive jewel back in November. Irankunda himself then probably accidentally revealed the duration of the contract.
Since the announcement of his move next season, the 18-year-old, who was born in Tanzania, has really blossomed. Irankunda has already scored seven goals and six assists this season. He is considered one of the brightest talents in Australian football. Its current market value of 650,000 euros (source: transfermarkt.de) is likely to skyrocket in the coming months and years.

FC Bayern is also hoping for that – even if the youngster can’t be seen as the new savior. In the record champions’ offensive, Irankunda has the chance to learn from superstars like Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané. The Australian can then recommend himself as an alternative on the wing. Especially if the Munich team suffers similar bad luck with injuries as this season. At the end of the season, the next top performer, Kingsley Coman, will be out. (LuHa)
