II Interschool Judo Meeting of Villanueva de la Cañada Draws Nearly 500 Athletes

The Covered Pavilion of the Santiago Apóstol Sports Complex hosted, this Sunday, the II Interschool Judo Meeting of Villanueva de la Cañada, organized by the City Council and the Quino Brunete Dojo Club. Nearly 500 athletes have participated in the Minibenjamín, Benjamín, Alevín, Infantil and Cadet categories.

The competition featured judokas from the Liceo Molière, Zola and Padre Garralda schools, Villanueva de la Cañada and Navalagamella Municipal Judo Schools, Dojo clubs Quino Brunete, Valdebebas, Valdemorillo, Vallecas, Zaragüeta, Judo Lorenzo, CDE Yujo and Judosur and AFC Villalba.

All participants received a medal for their performance in this sports promotion activity. The mayor, Luis Partida, accompanied by the councilors of Sports and Health, Ignacio González and Beatriz Peralta respectively, were present during the day.
