Ice hockey Oilers win playoff start: goal and assist for Draisaitl

As in 2022 and 2023, the Edmonton Oilers will face the LA Kings in the first round of the NHL playoffs. There are eleven goals at the start. Leon Draisaitl is directly involved in two.

The Edmonton Oilers started the NHL playoffs with a goal and an assist from Leon Draisaitl and a 7-4 win.

Against the Los Angeles Kings, the national ice hockey player scored a wonderful goal from a tight angle to make it 5-2. He had previously prepared Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ 4-0 win. Outstanding performances were shown by Zach Hyman, who scored a hat-trick, and Oilers star Connor McDavid with five assists.

The Oilers and Kings will meet in the first round of the playoffs for the third year in a row. The Oilers prevailed in the last two years. The team that achieves four wins first advances to the second round. After game two in Edmonton, both teams will meet for two games in Los Angeles.

Between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, the Canadian team managed to equalize the series with a 3-2 score. The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders 5-3 and lead the series 2-0. The Vegas Golden Knights won the opener against the Dallas Stars 4:3.
