Present at the Grand Palais for an interview with BMFTV this Monday, Emmanuel Macron expressed his wish to see Mbappé compete in the Games. The president asks the player’s future club to give him this opportunity.

Opening ceremony, Aya Nakamura, bearer of the Olympic flame… Emmanuel Macron was interviewed this Monday morning at the Gand Palais by our colleagues from BFMTV. The President also expressed his wish to see Kylian Mbappé set foot on the pitches during the Paris Games. “I haven’t talked about it with him yet, but I hope that his club especially will let him,” he confided.

The end of the season for French players promises to be busy for those who will participate in the Euro in Germany and in the Games. “We will do everything (to have a competitive team). I have confidence in the French and European clubs, so to speak, if you know what I mean. We have the Euro before, that’s the problem. I think the clubs have to play the game so that we have a great show. This is one of my fears. The players must include it in their workload and training plan too.” declared the President of the Republic.
