Apex Legends star Jacob ‘HisWattson’ McMillin has responded to Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Doses’ claim that he should be “blacklisted” from competitive teams after leaving FURIA’s roster.
As two of the top players in Apex Legends, HisWattson and ImperialHal have constantly clashed – both in battle royale and on social media – with things getting pretty heated at times.
HisWattson is losing motivation for Apex Legends
Although HisWattson is still one of the top-ranked players in Apex, he has decided to withdraw from the competition and leave the FURIA rankings. McMillin explained that he didn’t like the competitive environment and that his heart wasn’t in certain games. “I couldn’t muster the passion, thank God those games weren’t streamed because I was fucking unhappy the whole time,” he said, claiming he even “chucked out” games with “stupid” decisions because of his departure from the event in Raleigh, North Carolina, “wanted to go home.”
ImperialHal commented on his rival’s decision to move on, calling for him to be blacklisted from future teams. “I like that he is transparent but at the same time the mentality is so bad. So bad. If I were his teammate, I wouldn’t insult Wattson, but he should be blacklisted,” the TSM star said, laughing as he went on to suggest Wattson should be blacklisted.
HisWattson agrees with ImperialHal
The ex-FURIA star even agreed with his “wild” opinion. “Hal said I should be banned from the Apex pro community forever. That’s crazy. Please, just ban me. That way, I won’t even consider going back,” he said. “Honestly, go ahead, then I won’t even be tempted, it wouldn’t even be an option.” ImperialHal is known for his extreme statements and emotional (anger) outbursts, so his opinions should be taken with a pinch of salt. On the other hand, HisWattson seems to know that sooner or later it would tickle his fingers again and that he might then consider a comeback.
HisWattson added that he feels more comfortable playing ranked games in Apex because he has to play every day to maintain his top spot. “I have a reason to get out of bed because yes, when I played in the competition, I didn’t play in the morning because we wanted to play later in the day,” he added. “So, yeah, I just sat there and did nothing. So we won’t see him play in the ALGS again for a while, but who knows, he’s still young and could change his mind quickly.
