One of the three most important judo events that the Veneto Region will host this year took place on Saturday 13 April at the PalaCicogna in Ponzano Veneto (TV). After Conegliano with the first stage of the junior senior national circuit in February, the first national stage of the Fijlkam under 15 Circuit called “Trofeo Italia Judo Veneto”, a sporting event that boasts staggering numbers, with the participation of 476 members and 142 sports clubs from all over Italy, in parallel with the similar event held in Abruzzo with 369 members and 118 participating companies.
In Veneto, Lazio dominates with the sports club Harmony Club of Rome which conquers the podium in the general ranking of the men’s category trophy, placing in first place on a par with the Kumiai club of Turin.
There are 11 rookie athletes from the Roman Club competing, who take to the tatami for an excellent performance; 7 of them conquer the podium and lead Lazio to the top with two gold, four silver and one bronze. It’s gold for Lattanzi Mattia and Lattanzi Ruben, silver for Pennesi Tommaso, Paoloni Riccardo, Burdulia Gabriele and Valentini Aurora, bronze for Verzilli Angelica; excellent performance by the judokas Olmi Lorenzo, Fontana Federico, Proietti Massimo and Lori Valerio who faced more than one match with tenacity and enthusiasm.
The technicians Alessandro and Massimiliano Lattanzi express great satisfaction for the hard work and commitment shown by the young athletes of the rookie category B under 15 also and above all because thanks to their performance, some of them get the ticket to the top series of the Italian Junior Championships A1 in program in June in Jesolo (VE), thus demonstrating considerable determination.
