Handball Champions League: SCM loses thrilling duel in Kielce

Industria Kielce started the game better than SCM. This was largely due to the furious German national goalkeeper Andreas Wolff. At the beginning he parried several SCM throws, including two seven-meter penalties from Omar Ingi Magnusson. So it quickly became 4:1 for the Polish series champions. After ten minutes, the referees sent off Dylan Nahi after he hit Gisli Kristjansson in the face. The Magdeburg team fought back until halftime, but were unable to take the lead. Five Hornke hits, some from an acute angle, contributed to this.

In the second period, Felix Claar took control of the game on Magdeburg’s side. With a strong eight goals, he became Magdeburg’s best thrower. However, Alex Dujshebaev also proved his qualities with impressive goals. He also celebrated a total of eight goals of his own. After 51 minutes, the Magdeburg team took their first lead (23:22). But it remained the only SCM leadership. The hosts came back straight away and continued to advance until the final score was 27:26.
