The Hamburg Stealers also won the second meeting against their local rivals from Dohren in the afternoon. The basis for the 4-0 success of the Hanseatic city was the outstanding performance of starting pitcher Yasutomo Kubo. The Japanese import pitcher for the Stealers pitched a complete game and only gave up two hits. The righty achieved a strong 12 strikeouts.
