Grégoire Barrère advances to the second round in Bucharest, Arthur Rinderknech eliminated

Mixed results for the French this Wednesday in Bucharest. In difficulty against the Chilean Alejandro Tabilo (41st in the world), Arthur Rinderknech lost in two sets (6-3, 6-4), for his second round in Romania. Broken in the fourth game of the game, the 79th in the world could not exist in his duel against Tabilo. Winner of the first set, the Chilean did the same in the second to reach the quarter-finals.

Grégoire Barrère played his first round this Wednesday. Facing Thanasi Kokkinakis, the 30-year-old Frenchman won the first set (7-5) before seeing the weather conditions deteriorate, preventing him from reaching the end of the second round against the 94th in the world.

The meeting finally resumed and Barrère won against the Australian (7-5, 6-3). He therefore qualifies for the round of 16 where he will face the American Sebastian Korda, seeded n°3 in Bucharest and exempt from the first round.
