Great success for the according to Memorial Alessio and Simonewhich took place on Sunday 7 April, at the SoleLuna International Circuit in Vittoria.
“Do you like racing your car? Open your mind and run, but on the track!” This is the message that characterized the Memorial dedicated to the D’Antonio cousins whose lives were broken by those who ran at breakneck speed in the historic center. As we told you in this previous article, the objective of the event was to raise awareness among road users with a clear message aimed at everyone: drive responsibly and if you have a passion for speed it is good to experience it on the track. Alessio and Simone themselves, on the other hand, were very passionate about karting.
Strongly desired by the D’Antonio families, the day began with institutional greetings from the mayor of Vittoria, Francesco Aiello, and senator Salvo Sallemi. The event will be hosted by showman and speaker Maurizio Iachella.
Opening, the 50CC Go Kart tour with the little ones, aged 5 to 8. Then the participation of more than sixty participants including historic cars, racing cars and road cars.
The overall winner was Agostino Bonforte on Osella 3000. Excellent placings for the D’Antonio brothers (parents of little Alessio and Simone): Alessandro 1st in class and 5th overall and Tony D’Antonio 1st in class and 8th overall on Fiat X19.
The D’Antonio families spoke out extremely satisfied and aim to expand more and more message about safe driving to the young people.
