Giráldez’s agency denies that it has to compensate Levante

Celta and the agency that represents Claudio Giráldez denied yesterday that the Porriñés coach has to face financial compensation to Levante for an alleged pre-agreement with the Valencian team when he had not yet renewed his contract with the Vigo team.

Different media reported yesterday that the current Celta coach had reached a verbal agreement with Levante to take over the management of its first team for the 2024-25 season, endorsed by the sports director of the Granota team, the former Celta Felipe Miñambres.

The news caught Celta’s leaders by surprise because “until today” no one had “record” of this information, sources from the Vigo club told Efe. The agency that represents the player also denied the alleged pre-agreement with Levante.
