We have already seen Giannis Antetokounmpo’s supernatural ability to avoid injuries or shorten recovery times. A gift that, for what counts Shams Charania, is repeating himself with the calf problems that the player suffers. The Athletic journalist points out that the Greek is recovering better than expected but that, even so, his participation in the first game of the series against the Indiana Pacers remains up in the air.
The Bucks star suffered a nasty injury during the game last Tuesday, April 9, against the Boston Celtics. Coming to fear that it was a problem in the Achilles. Fortunately, his MRI ruled out a major injury, leaving him with a simple muscle problem in his calf that would keep him off the slopes for around two weeks.
Update on an All-NBA star ahead of playoffs:
Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is rehabbing daily but there’s some real doubt for his status to begin series vs. Pacers on Sunday, sources say. Although Giannis has rare recovery ability, he’s very much up in the air for Game 1.
