Generazione Vincente Napoli Basket Suffers Another Defeat Against Pallacanestro Varese: A Match Recap

Another defeat for Generazione Vincente Napoli Basket which, at the end of a nervous match, was overcome by Pallacanestro Varese with a score of 113-79.

Great intensity in the first quarter of the game. Very balanced match with former Owens and Brown very inspired at the start of the match. But at the end of the half Varese extends to 5 more. Gevi reacts with Ennis who scores 6 points. However, Varese ended the first half ahead with a score of 27-26.

At the start of the second period Milicic’s team started strong, but Varese made a precise three-pointer with Gabe Brown to take the lead again. Gevi with Owens tries to stay in the game, but in the second half of the period Varese with Moretti extends their lead to 50-41. Gevi is imprecise from distance, and Pallacanestro Varese goes into halftime ahead by 11 points with a score of 54-43.

The Azzurri try to react at the start of the third quarter of the game again with Owens, but the gap is still in double figures 66-56. Little is scored, and Ennis misses two important free throws. Two minutes from the end of the period, Zubcic scores his first bomb, bringing Napoli back within 9 at 68-59, but Mannion with 5 consecutive points pushes Gevi back to within 14. Generazione Vincente Napoli Basket will be back on the pitch next Sunday 14th April hosting Banco Sardegna Sassari at 7.30pm for the twelfth day of the second round at the Fruit Village Arena.
