Garuba ends his American season with a testimonial presence in the Warriors’ farewell

MADRID, 17 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish power forward Usman Garuba ended his season in American basketball this Tuesday with an almost testimonial presence in the clear defeat of the Golden State Warriors by 118-94 against the Sacramento Kings in the NBA ‘Play-In’ 2023-2024.

After finishing his participation with the Californian franchise team in the Development League, the Santa Cruz Warriors, coach Steve Kerr decided to summon him for the last games of the seven-time NBA champion, although his participation was not too much.

The international played against the Kings for just over two minutes where he did not shoot a basket and his statistics were reduced to one defensive rebound and one assist for the Warriors who did not have many options to continue in the race for the ‘Playoffs’ after a second half devastating of the locals (64-44), led by a successful Keegan Murray, author of 32 points with 8/13 in triples.

Sacramento will now play for the remaining spot to play the playoffs for the ring in the Western Conference against the New Orleans Pelicans who were unable to beat the Los Angeles Lakers, who won by a tight 110-106 to be the rivals in the ‘Playoffs’ of the current champions, Denver Nuggets.

Center Zion Williams’ 40 points and 11 rebounds were not enough for the visitors as they were compensated by the quartet formed by LeBron James (23)-D’Angelo Russell (21)-Anthony Davis (20 and 15 rebounds)-Austin Reeves (16).
