Lieshout – The youth of Badminton club Lieshout have played their own youth tournament again. Like every year, there was attention for badminton, but also for a fun activity: sports at Badminton Club Lieshout is so much more than just badminton. By the way, Hilke Klomp and Teun Scheepers could call themselves the winners of the badminton section, but everyone could go home with a satisfied feeling.
The youth of Badminton Club Lieshout had a fun activity. Tim van Bommel and Bianca Heuvelmans had once again put together a very fun day for the participants, which started with a badminton tournament. In that tournament, the youth members played with and against each other in all kinds of ways. Juniors and Aspirants sometimes played together, sometimes separately and sometimes they even played with the seniors present. This interaction ultimately allowed a final ranking to be drawn up. This was led by Teun Scheepers among the Aspirants, who clearly stood out above the rest with 16 points achieved and a balance of +29. Jim Schrama came second: he collected 10 points and with a balance of -2, he was just ahead of Siebe Klomp, who had the same number of points, but a more negative balance (-29). Hilke Klomp even managed to score 20 points among the juniors: more than enough to stay ahead of Asja Timmers. She gained 12 points and had to settle for second place.
Scavenger hunt
After badminton it was time for a completely different activity: a walk with a treasure hunt through Lieshout. Fortunately, the weather gods were in a good mood this day and the children had a great time during the tour through the village. Of course we stopped at the playground for a moment and the children could have fun on the playground equipment. Because they had already received plenty of food between the badminton and the activity, the youth guidance was able to end the day pleasantly after walking and solving the treasure hunt.
Participate
Badminton Club Lieshout is really more than just a sports club. Of course there is plenty of sports, but there is also room for fun extra activities. Would you also like to participate in such an activity? Then come to Sports Hall de Klumper between 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM on one of the coming Wednesday evenings and report to one of the youth counselors: they will be happy to help you on your way.
