Fun and Excitement at the Mâcon Judo Club’s Little Samurai Tournament

Lots of entertainment this Saturday, April 6 at the Complexe des Saugeraies where the Mâcon Judo club organized its traditional “Little Samurai Tournament”. For this, the stand had been deployed for the spectators, and the entire tatami surface installed to accommodate the youngest judokas from Mâcon Judo and the guest clubs from Crèches sur Saône, Charnay les Mâcon, La Roche Vineuse and Lugny.

A total of 80 children aged 5 to 8, divided into three age groups, attended each other throughout the afternoon.

For the little ones, the “Baby samurai”, it was a question of carrying out fun exercises to learn judo in 4 rotating workshops: a motor skills circuit, opposition games (penguin and cock fights! ) standing opposition games like sumo and finally mini fights to try to bring down the big guys.

The oldest, 7 and 8 years old, presented real judo performances, always in 4 rotating workshops, based on technical demonstrations drawn by lot and educational fights, both standing and on the ground.

At the end of this great afternoon of entertainment, each of the participants was rewarded with a medal and received a diploma in their name from the paws of Tigger the club mascot and from the hands of Jean-Pierre Jacquart, teacher in Mâcon Judo and host of the meeting.
