FT Fulda Blackhorses ready to kick off baseball season with high hopes against Rüsselsheim Moskitos

Fulda/Rüsselsheim (jk) – They had to wait a long time, but now it’s finally starting again for the baseball players of the FT Fulda Blackhorses. On Sunday (1 p.m.) the Fulda team starts the association league season with the Rüsselsheim Moskitos. Blackhorses coach Daniel Gallus is confident for the new season and is already expecting his first win this weekend.

The Fulda team’s preparations weren’t optimal, but they were better than a year ago. “The weather didn’t really play into our hands. We had to invest a lot of time preparing the field,” explains Gallus. But with many hard-working hands the weeds could be pulled out. The Fulda team completed a total of three training sessions outdoors, “three times more than a year ago,” smiles the coach. “So the signs are much better.” Gallus expects a balanced encounter in the opening game, especially because the hosts have some experienced players in their ranks. “There are three teams that are at relatively the same level. “That’s Kassel, Rüsselsheim and us,” he explains. That’s precisely why the coach wants to start the season well and score points before the first home game on April 28th (1 p.m. against Main-Taunus). “I want to win and we can win too. “Last year we lost both games against Rüsslehseim, we’ll get them back this time,” says Gallus optimistically.
