Already qualified for the Games, the French women’s doubles wants to offer themselves a first major title to dream bigger in less than four months.
Appetite comes with eating. While a few months ago, Anne Tran (27 years old) and Margot Lambert (25 years old) only dreamed of qualifying in women’s doubles for the next Games in Paris, their ambition has evolved over the good results gleaned jointly, having allowed them to secure their ticket for the Adidas Arena at Porte de la Chapelle – Olympic badminton theater next summer – even before the European Championships played until Sunday in Saarbrück (Germany).
Not that they are openly aiming for a place on the podium during these home Olympics, this one being destined to be monopolized by duos from Asia. But they can consider achieving a (very) beautiful journey there, and not just participating in it, despite the famous maxim of Baron Pierre de Coubertin.
