The Frenchman officially announced his registration for the draft, on the set of ESPN, this Friday.

Silver medalist in the jersey of the French team at the U19 World Cup in July 2023, Alexandre Sarr also impressed in September 2023 with two cards against the G-League Ignite, an American team bringing together other young people promised to the draft . The pivot plays in Perth, Australia, in a team competing for the title in Oceania.

If he were to be chosen, Sarr would become the fourth French player to join the NBA after a season in Australia or New Zealand and would succeed Ousmane Dieng and Hugo Besson (2022) then Rayan Rupert (2023). Charlotte All-Star point guard LaMelo Ball also went through the NBL stage before the draft.
