French Men’s Judo Teams Begin Training at Creps: A Look Inside the Session

This Tuesday, April 9, training for the French men’s judo teams began at Creps. The afternoon session was the only one open to the public until the end of the course, this Friday, April 12.

“Last year, we came to test Creps and were very happy with it,” reveals Baptiste Leroy, head of the French men’s judo teams.
It’s only 3.5 hours from Paris, we have everything available and are very well received.” There was a large crowd on Tuesday, April 9, at the training of the French men’s judo teams.

In the future, the judo trainer hopes to be able to train his teams in the spa town “at least once a year”. The latter also reassured about “the good dynamic” of his protégés, “although the objectives are quite high”.

Pro B: five in a row for JA Vichy, which won in Denain, not without difficulty

For the next events, while the chances of medals are more on the side of women in the discipline, he has shown his determination to “bring medalists to the competitions”.

A discipline that is still very popular

France has more than 500,000 judo graduates, a sign of “a real enthusiasm which is the legacy of the development of sporting practice in France since the 60s and 70s”, underlined Baptiste Leroy.

This sport has thus become more than a practice, but an “educational mode with values, a recognized moral code”, continues the manager, in full preparation for the post-Teddy Riner era.
