France-Romania: at what time and on which channel to follow the friendly women’s handball match?

Full of confidence, the French handball players face Romania on Sunday to end their Olympic preparation training in Clermont-Ferrand. Very large winner of the Latvians (53-9) for their last qualifying match for the Euro, Olivier Krumbholz’s players have just spent a week in Auvergne with this friendly match as the highlight, the first since the summer 2023.

While most of the big teams in world women’s handball are currently competing in the Olympic qualifying tournament, the French do not have to go through this stage, just like the Norwegians and the Danes. Instead, they have the opportunity to perfect their understanding and prepare as best they can for the Games. This requires a successful Euro 2024 qualifying tournament and a validated ticket for the European competition which will take place at the end of the year in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.

This Auvergne training therefore concludes with this meeting on Sunday against Romania, not qualified for the Olympic Games. A team that the Blues have always beaten since 2011 and that they met the last time in 2022 in the group stage of the Euro. The French women largely won with a score of 35 to 21, which augurs well for a good result on Sunday and hopes for a 23rd consecutive victory.

The friendly match between the French women’s handball team and Romania will be followed this Sunday, April 14 at 5:25 p.m. on BeIN Sports 2 and the L’Équipe channel.
