Former NBA Player JJ Redick Being Considered for Head Coaching Position with Charlotte Hornets

According to close sources from Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Charlotte Hornets will interview former shooter and current television commentator, JJ Redick, for the head coaching position.

Redick, 39 years old, retired last September 2021 after wearing the Dallas Mavericks jersey where he played a total of 13 games.

Trained at the prestigious Duke University, he came to the NBA with the 11th pick in the first round of the 2006 Draft, being selected by the Orlando Magic.

He spent seven seasons in the Disneyland Franchise and later played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans and the aforementioned Mavs.

In total he played 940 official games with figures of 12.8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists with 41% in triples.

After the goodbye of Steve Clifford, other names have already been heard, such as Lindsey Harding, the now Brooklyn Nets coach, Jordi Fernández, Kevin Young or Charles Lee of the Celtics.
