Final Day of NBA Regular Season Filled with Playoff Scenarios and Excitement

On Sunday from 7 p.m. all 30 teams will be in action again at two different tip-off times. For this occasion, DAZN will show all games in a conference call, while the Orlando Magic final against the Milwaukee Bucks will be shown on free TV on ProSieben MAXX at 7 p.m. From 9:30 p.m. the Los Angeles Lakers play against the New Orleans Pelicans, where New Orleans can secure sixth place and the Lakers are still fighting for a good position in the play-in tournament.

Only three of the 15 upcoming games are meaningless for seeding. Nine of the twelve direct playoff teams have already been taken, but the seeding is completely open with the exceptions of Boston, Clippers and Dallas. In addition, no team can slip out of the play-in ranks; in the East it is only certain that the Chicago Bulls will host the Atlanta Hawks in the 9-10 game.

In the West there is complete uncertainty in this regard, as even the Los Angeles Lakers can still fall from eighth to tenth position. Things are also tight in the East, where four teams (Orlando, Indiana, Philadelphia, Miami) will play for the last two direct playoff tickets.

Before we get started, you can read through the NBA tiebreaker rules again here, which are quite complicated. And now we’re diving into all possible scenarios for the final day of the 2023/24 NBA season.
