The Fiamme Oro youth section of the State Police, present at the “Andre Campagna” agent student school in Vibo Valentia since 1 June 2022, has once again brought to the attention of the general public the sporting performances of its members, supervised by the deputy superintendent Moreno Boer, former Olympian in the specialty. In fact, the national under 15 weightlifting finals took place in Rome, at the Army Olympic sports centre, on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April, where the athlete Teresa Giorgia Belcastro was present.
The final, reserved for the best 6 athletes who qualified through the regional phases, saw her win an excellent bronze medal, lifting 47 kilos in the snatch exercise and 58 kilos in the clean sweep, also managing to improve her personal records. A prestigious result, which completes the journey that began with fourth place in the 2023 edition of the under 13 national championships, and which will see her again as a protagonist in the next 2025 edition.
The under 17 finals will take place at the end of May, with Carlotta Francesca Torcasio, 76 kilo category, Alessandra Castagna, 87 kilo category and Christian Boer, 89 kilo category as the standard bearers of our youth section, with the hope of obtaining notable results.
