Feijenoord Stadium to Receive Fifteen Million Euros for Development

Feijenoord Stadium will soon have a total amount of fifteen million euros. This is reported by RTV Rijnmond. The amount is made up of various elements, including a compensation amount for De Kuip from the Municipality of Rotterdam to stop concerts.

From 2026 it will no longer be possible for Feijenoord Stadium to organize concerts. This allows the municipality of Rotterdam to build cheaper houses in the De Kuip area. Both parties have managed to reach an agreement on an amount of 11.8 million euros.

In addition, Feijenoord Stadium receives an amount from the Stichting Gebiedsontwikkeling aan de Maas (Stigam) and has previously received two million euros from Feyenoord for development costs incurred. This brings the total amount to fifteen million euros.

The money is desperately needed for Feijenoord Stadium, because the loan from Goldman Sachs must be paid off. This can also be done with the money that comes in, creating breathing space for the management. Feyenoord hopes that part of the money will also be invested in overdue maintenance.
