Fall at the Tour of the Basque Country: a drama unfortunately so predictable

In cycling, collective falls are called a strike. But the one who has just arrived, this Thursday, April 4 during the Tour of the Basque Country, will perhaps change the face of all bowling. The fall, 36 km from the finish while the race was far from its start, was terrifying. A slip from taking a downhill turn too quickly and, in a fraction of a second, the tightrope walkers in the peloton leave the tarmac.

Some end up against rocks, others in a bitumen ravine, while the last ones miraculously avoid trees. And this time, the victims are not these anonymous people from the peloton. Suddenly, three of the four favorites for the next Tour de France crashed on the asphalt: Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic.
