Thu Apr 18, 2:00 PM Cycling Cycling Tour Veenendaal-Veenendaal

VEENENDAAL Veenendaal and the region is starting to prepare for Veenendaal-Veenendaal. Where should you go to get an autograph from your favorite rider, what are the best spots along the route to watch the race? The Veenendaal cycling fanatic Niels Nap and race director Bart Voskamp of Veenendaal-Veenendaal took the racing bike to explore the lap and give tips to the public and the participating cyclists!

At 35 kilometers the lap is not that long and well organized, it will certainly not be easy for the cyclists, Nap and Voskamp explain. “There are several places where the wind has free play, so you have to position yourself well or you will be released. And with the Grebbeberg and the Paardenveld there are two vicious climbs in the round. And then we haven’t even mentioned the narrow roads, roundabouts and bends. As a rider you are busy all day long, it is mentally quite difficult to continuously choose the right position.”

The right places to get an autograph or water bottle or where it is best to unfold your chair to watch the participants pass by? Niels and Bart will talk you through everything. Watch it in the video below:
