Week full of regional finals for school sports!
The week opens under the banner of sports dance: more than 100 students from all over the region competed to the rhythm of hip hop, break dance, cha cha and modern dance.
Both the choreography and the costumes chosen by the students were beautiful.
The provincial finals of the championship took place on Tuesday and Thursday at the Pala Maragliano Volleyball: the victory and the right to access the regional finals are awarded:
For the CADET category IC RIVAROLO, CADET IC ARENZANO, STUDENTS the MARCONI DELPINO high school, STUDENTS the DELEDDA high school.
The matches of the male and female Junior categories were exciting, with the LANFRANCONI high school both coming out on top.
In the middle of the week the Imperia sports field hosted the regional finals of all specialties of Athletics.
Students from the four provinces demonstrated great preparation and competitive spirit.
The STUDENTS of the Pacinotti high school of Spezia, the STUDENTS of the Vieusseux high school of Imperia, the CADETS of Imperia Arma and the CADETTS of Varazze Celle will leave for the national finals in Pescara (from 27 to 31 May); with them the individualists of Majorana Giorgi, King, IC Terralba, IC Sturla, IC Teglia di Genova; Fossati, Parentuccelli, Mazzini, ISA 1, ISA 21, ISA 7 of Spezia, IC Albissole of Savona, IC Ventimiglia, IC Littardi, Ruffini and technological center of Imperia. The whole region will have its own representative.
The week ends with the provincial championships of Badminton, kindly hosted by the Firpo Buonarroti Institute, which saw the excellence of the IC Valli and Carasco (silver medal for the IC Castelletto), the Marconi Delpino high school (second place for the Barabino high school and the Firpo Buonarroti, bronze for the Marco Polo) and the individualist of Gastaldi Abba.
At the same time at the Carlini Bollesan field, 6 schools competed in the new discipline of Rugby tag. IC Sestri and King high school win, silver for IC Bordighera and Liceo Ruffini of Imperia, bronze for Calvino high school and fourth place for Ferraris Pancaldo of Savona.
For the cadets category, a double for IC Pegli which with this victory wins access to the national finals in Caserta on 20/24 May.
In the women’s juniors, gold medal for Francesca Fenocchio from Liceti, silver for Angelica Podestà and bronze for Carolina Pedrini from Classico Colombo who won the team championship. Finally, in the Student category, a hat-trick for Vallescriva who, with Danilo Balbi-gold, Riccardo Secci-silver and Emiliano Cremona-bronze, won the regional championship, followed by Liceti (Davide Russo and Filippo Torquati) and Colombo (Umberto Casati and Matteo DeGiovanni) .
