The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart has a top-class cast and offers exciting matches in the first round. World number one and two-time defending champion (2022 and 2023) Iga Swiatek and number two Aryna Sabalenka lead the packed draw of the WTA 500 tournament, which features eight players from the top 10 in the world rankings. Due to the seeding, the top seeds Swiatek, Sabalenka, Gauff and Rybakina are allowed to take a break in the first round.

In the first round there will be a clash of wildcards: former world number one Angelique Kerber will meet the 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu for the first time. Raducanu comes to Stuttgart after a successful weekend at the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers, where she led Great Britain to a 3-1 victory over France with wins over Caroline Garcia and Diane Parry. The German team with Kerber was also able to qualify for the finals of the Billie Jean King Cup. Kerber, who was supposed to play in the doubles, was no longer allowed to play because her team had already won. Kerber won the title in Stuttgart in 2015 and 2016 and will compete in the Porsche Tennis Arena for the first time since 2022.
