This Saturday the First Division national badminton league concludes with the last two matches of the season that will be held in the La Tejerona pavilion in Gijón.
The Soria-CS24 Badminton Club, enrolled in the First National Silver, will face the Extremadurans of AD Cura Mora and the Balearic Islands of CIDE, with the aim of confirming permanence, for one more season, in the current category.
The Soria coach, Víctor Ortega, will try to bet on players with less prominence in previous days since the great objective of the season has been achieved and the team of players also guarantees a high competitive level. The middle zone of the qualifying table is tremendously even to the point that the Sorianos, located in ninth position, could rise to fifth place.
In Saturday’s morning game, the Sorianos will face AD Cura Mora from Villanueva de la Vera. The Cáceres are located with one more victory than the Soriano club, so a Soriano victory would imply surpassing the Extremadurans, taking into account the balance in favor to break the tiebreaker.
And the end of the Sorianos’ journey in this edition of the national league will occur on Saturday afternoon in a match against the CIDE Badminton Club of Palma de Mallorca. The confrontation is expected to be very even since both are tied with the same number of victories obtained.
Only an unlikely carom in the results of this last day would prevent the Sorianos from permanence, which in recent months they have fought so hard to achieve.

The weekend will have two other appointments for players from Soria. On the one hand, the seniors will compete in Medina del Campo in the National Master prior to the Spanish Championship. Being a key competition in the preparation for said Championship, it will also be one of the last events to obtain qualification for the European Championship next summer. The Soriano expedition will be made up of the Sorians: Manuel Acero, Santiago Martínez and José Carlos Pérez and the Burgenses of the AD89: Sergio Latorre and Cristina Puebla.
