Albeit a prestigious tournament, the European Badminton Championship 2024, like every other edition, has no prize money on offer. The players partake to compete for the honour.

However, Badminton Europe (the continent’s apex governing body for the sport) does not allow the participating shuttlers to return empty-handed. Being a Badminton World Federation (BWF) sanctioned tournament, it offers points to the players based on their performances. In fact, the points structure of the European Badminton Championships is similar to a BWF World Tour Super 500 event, like the Indonesia Masters 2024.

The winners of both the singles and the doubles categories, across both men’s and women’s disciplines, will receive 9,200 BWF points. On the other hand, the runners-up in all the categories will take home 7,800 BWF points.

While the losing semi-finalists will be rewarded with 6,420 BWF points each, the shuttlers who bow out of the tournament in the quarter-finals will each get 5,040 BWF points.
