The three members of Enjoy Judo Oyten returned from the German Championships at the Nürburgring with two titles in their luggage.

Oyten – Andreas Wöhl started in the M9 up to 81 kg and met the reigning world champion Wolfgang Löffler in his first fight. With a great energy performance, the Oytener asserted himself through the judges’ decision to great cheers. The 69-year-old from Rotenburg won his second fight with a counterattack technique and became German champion.

Andreas Pajer started in the M7 category up to 66 kg. The first fight only lasted a few seconds after Pajer threw him over the shoulder. Then it was against the experienced Berliner Werner Nötzel, third in the 2020 World Cup. Pajer shouldered him twice with a hard grip. Then it was against Bayern Pirpek. This was also thrown with the Oytener’s special throw, an Ippon-Seio-Nage. This made the finals perfect. Rudolf Czempk (NRW) was waiting there. Both fought a hard-fought duel in which Pajer showed the better approaches and was more active. The Oytener was declared the winner by the judges’ decision and thus secured his sixth DM title.

Manfred Schwarzer from Sottrum started in the M5 class up to 90 kg. There he was eliminated after losing two fights against very good judoka. For the two German champions of Enjoy Judo Oyten, the title could possibly also mean a start at the World Championships in November in Las Vegas.
