Emilio Alzamora presents SeventyTwo Motorsports and his new JuniorGP team

The SeventyTwo Artbox Racing Team will compete in JuniorGP with Guido Pini, Angus Grenfell and Brian Uriarte and in the European Talent Cup with Carlos Cano

This Wednesday, former motorcycle racer Emilio Alzamora presented his new project SeventyTwo Motorsports, a talent representation and management company in which he will contribute his experience to guide and represent promising young people in, for now, the JuniorGP championships and the European Talent Cup.

Alzamora, 125cc world champion 25 years ago, presented his new initiative in the heart of what was the iconic Montjuïc circuit, home of the first Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix, and revealed that the SeventyTwo Artbox Racing Team will compete this 2024 season in the FIM JuniorGP with the young drivers Guido Pini, Carlos Cano, Angus Grenfell and Brian Uriarte.

SeventyTwo Motorsports emerges as a new division within SeventyTwo Sports Group, an athlete representation agency specialized in the world of tennis directed by John Morris, Ivan Hooper and former tennis player Galo Blanco. In this way, SeventyTwo Sports Group expands its area of ​​action to motor sports under the direction of Emilio Alzamora.

“SeventyTwo Motorsports is a project that excites us enormously and that, for me, represents a great challenge and an opportunity to continue contributing all my experience in the field of motorcycling. Our main objective for the year 2024 is to support the new generation of young people talents, without leaving aside the opportunities that may arise to advise and represent professional drivers, providing all our structure and services,” said the director of SeventyTwo Motorsports, Emilio Alzamora.

Alzamora presented the new SeventyTwo Artbox Racing Team competition structure, with Guillem Alonso as Team Manager. This new team arises from the agreement between SeventyTwo Motorsports and Artbox, and has the experience of the renowned Italian technician Massimo Capanna, who exercises the technical direction of the training, to catapult to success the drivers who will form its grid under the advice of Emilio Alzamora , former manager of the brothers and MotoGP riders Marc and Álex Márquez.

As for the riders, Guido Pini (Tuscany, Italy, 16 years old) will debut in the JuniorGP category at the handlebars of the KTM Moto3 and has a European Talent Cup champion title (2022) and a runner-up position (2023). Angus Grenfell (Merlbourne, Australia, 17 years old) will compete in his second season in JuniorGP, after having also competed in the European Talent Cup with Artbox Team.

For his part, the Cantabrian Brian Uriarte – third in the European Talent Cup last season – will also be part of the cast of SeventyTwo Artbox Racing Team drivers in JuniorGP, although in his case, he will not be able to debut in this category until the last three races of the championship, by not turning 16 regulatory years until the month of August.

The Murcian Carlos Cano, the youngest of all at only 14 years old, was runner-up in 2023 of the ESBK PreMoto3 Championship, and in 2024 he will make his debut in the European Talent Cup. All of them will have the professionalism of a team made up of 20 staff , engineers and mechanics.
