SAARBRÜCKEN (ANP) – The badminton duo Robin Tabling/Selena Piek has secured participation in the Olympic Games in Paris this summer. The Dutch couple reached the semi-finals of the mixed doubles at the European Championships on Thursday and due to the loss of the competition at the Asian Championships, Tabing and Piek can no longer be traced in the qualifying rankings.
“The Badminton World Federation (BWF) will publish the final rankings for the Olympic Games in Paris on April 30, but the Dutch duo, currently twelfth in the rankings, can no longer be traced,” the Dutch badminton association said.
Tabling and Piek participated together in the Tokyo Games in 2021. Piek was also present at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, then with other partners.
