Djokovic and Sinner in the Monte Carlo semi-finals

Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the semi-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo on Friday.

Djokovic had to fight more than he would have liked in the 7:5 6:4 win against Australian Alex de Minaur, but he is still in Monaco without losing a set. Sinner needed three sets in the 6:4 6:7 (6/8) 6:3 win against the Dane Holger Rune. Tsitsipas, on the other hand, had a comparatively comfortable day at work in the 6:4 6:2 win against Russian Karen Khachanov.

At 36 years old, Djokovic is the oldest semifinalist in the history of the clay court tournament. With his 77th Masters 1000 semifinal, the Serb also overtook the previous record holder Rafael Nadal and will now face the winner of the evening game between Casper Ruud (NOR/8) and Ugo Humbert (FRA/14). Sinner will face Tsitsipas in the semi-finals.
