The twenty-second day of the Regional Division 1 championship (the “old” series D) saw a very interesting and compelling match take place, the one between the SS Lazio and the Mistercucina Dinamo Ladispoliwhich certainly served as a worthy prelude to what will be the playoffs for Serie C which will begin in the week of May 12th.
The Dinamo came from the terrible performance against APDB Roma in the midweek recovery round, while the league leaders SS Lazio came with an open streak of 12 victories, where the last defeat had been against Dinamo in the first round; Dynamo reconfirmed itself as the bête noire for the Roman boys, given that after a very good match they were once again defeated by the orange/blue 55-64.
Coach Crocicchia’s Ladispolani played one of their best games, proving to be a solid and attentive team in defence, changing on all blocks and managing to find more fluidity in attack compared to the last few outings, which allowed them to take shots with more ‘”rhythm” and consequent greater precision, even from very long distances.
A clear and important success was achieved on the field of the league leaders, with which Dinamo, 2 days before the end of the qualifying phase, returned to second place alone in the group, a position which if maintained will allow them to have a first playoff round at least on the easier card and above all being able to play a possible “good” one (the playoffs are all played with the best of 3 games) at home, with the advantage of the home pitch and with the push of the Dinamos fans who have repeatedly demonstrated that they can cover the role of game-breaking sixth man.
Now the important thing will be not to make mistakes against Sermoneta next Sunday, in order to be able to close the first part of the season in a great way and prepare as best as possible for the final sprint which, come what may, will represent a prestigious goal for a company founded only 6 years ago “from scratch”, from 0 , and which today has over 220 members, including mini-basketball, youth teams, amateur teams and the one which is just the tip of this iceberg called Dinamo, the first Serie D team, demonstrating an organization that appears more and more serious, solid, reliable, coherent.
