The defending champions Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler are making a successful start to the ATP 250 clay court tournament in Munich.
The ÖTV duo prevailed on Tuesday against the Argentine-Mexican pairing Guido Andreozzi/Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela in two sets 6:3, 6:2.
Erler/Miedler will now face second-seeded Americans Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow in the quarterfinals. The two beat the Germans Hanfmann/Koepfer 7:6, 7:6.
