Charles De Ketelaere did not get past low-flyer Hellas Verona at home with Atalanta. ‘CDK’ and co quickly took a double lead, but gave it away completely in just a handful of minutes after the break. De Ketelaere was substituted just after the hour mark.
With the arrival of number 17 Verona, Atalanta had the opportunity to put some more pressure on Romelu Lukaku’s AS Roma. The home team also got off to a good start: after eighteen minutes of football it was already 2-0 after goals from Scamacca and Ederson. De Ketelaere occasionally showed himself with some good passes and one dangerous shot, but it was not possible to work on his numbers.
There seemed to be no problem for the Bergamasken, but that changed completely just after the break. First Lazovic cleverly kicked the tying goal into the bottom corner and barely a few minutes later Noslin was already hanging the plates in balance.
A handful of minutes after the equalizer, Gasperini took De Ketelaere off. Even without the Red Devil, Atalanta failed to get the three points. ‘CDK’ and co remain sixth, four points behind Roma and the Europa League ticket.
