D’Angelo Russell won’t exercise player option with Lakers?

D’Angelo Russell could choose to become a free agent for the second straight year. The Los Angeles Lakers point-guard would have a player option for the second year with the yellow-violet franchise, but according to what Brian Windhorst reported in his podcast “she will almost certainly not exercise the player option”.

In fact, the player is having an excellent season and could try to obtain a more important contract for his career, especially from an economic point of view. Russell is averaging 18.2 points, 6.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
