“When I was younger, in my rookie year, second year, he used to dominate the games and I always admired him and remembered his mark on the games. I got to spend a short period of time with him in Minnesota and I always appreciated his game, his knowledge of the game and I learned a lot from him just watching him play his style of play,” the Lakers point guard told MD last week in Toronto.
“I wasn’t very athletic and I don’t see myself as very athletic either, I had little nuances that I got away with and that I added to my game and did well. So an incredible race, my thanks to Ricky, it was huge,” added Russell, one of many stars that Ricky has inspired such as Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell o Anthony Edwards.
