With just a few months left to start one of the most important sporting events in the world, the Colombian delegation confirmed that there are already 48 athletes who have secured their place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The most recent classifications were achieved thanks to the fact that the men’s resource archery team managed to obtain the gold medal in the Pan American of this discipline held in Medellín, Colombia.

The victory led by Santiago Arcila, Andrés Hernández and Jorge Henríquez meant two more numerical quotas for the tricolor delegation, which currently already has eleven different sports federations.

It is worth mentioning that in this competition, Santiago Arcila had already achieved quota number 46, so last Sunday, April 14, the rest of the team qualified for the competitions that begin on July 26, 2024.

Of the total, 18 places are nominal, corresponding to the Colombian women’s soccer team and the remaining 30 are numerical. “Few people have seen me cry and I am excited. It is a goal achieved for everyone and thank you very much. We are going to continue preparing for the Olympics,” said Andrés Hernández at the end of the competition.
