Colombia Dominates and Crowned Champion at the Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024

COLOMBIA WAS CROWN CHAMPION OF THE BOLIVARIAN YOUTH GAMES SUCRE 2024

They achieved first place in the classification with 73 gold medals, 51 silver and 55 bronze, totaling 179 medals. In second place was Venezuela and third Chile, in an event that was broadcast live to the world through the Panam Sports Channel.

After 10 days of intense competition from more than 1,610 young people from 7 countries, the I Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024 concluded today.

In total, 24 sports and 27 disciplines were developed, with Colombia as champion and top medalist of the competition, which had a great presentation of its athletes, achieving a total of 73 gold medals.

Second place in the general classification went to Venezuela with 63 gold, 48 silver, 55 bronze and a total of 157. Third place meanwhile went to Team Chile with 30-40-47 and a total of 117. They were followed by Ecuador (25-32-32), Peru (20-26-54), the local team of Bolivia (9-19-39), Panama (7-7-11) and Team ODEBO with 1 silver medal.

The winning country stood out in Archery, Squash, Boxing, Judo, Road Cycling, Artistic Gymnastics, Tennis and Athletics where they were great dominators of the competition.

Sucre 2024 ended with the Wrestling competition and for this afternoon at 6:30 p.m. (Bolivia time) the Closing ceremony is expected to take place at the Aniceto Arce Ex Station.

This event will feature the traditional parade of delegations, local artistic groups, speeches from the authorities, the extinction of the Bolivarian Fire of the Cauldron, to end with 3 artistic shows by Cumbaros, Esencia and Zona Pública.

The Sucre 2024 Closing Ceremony will be broadcast live to the entire world through the Panam Sports Channel.

From now on, Panam Sports congratulates ODEBO and its president Baltazar Medina and all the Bolivian people for the organization of this festival of youth sports such as the I Bolivarian Games Sucre 2024.
