Club Brugge Manager Nicky Hayen Reveals Selection for Playoffs Opener; Simon Mignolet Still Out Injured

Nicky Hayen revealed the selection of Club Brugge for the first match of these Playoffs. Unsurprisingly, Simon Mignolet is still absent due to injury.

This Monday, Nicky Hayen will manage his first match since the dismissal of Ronny Deila. The coach of Club NXT has taken the reins of Club Brugge while waiting for management Blue & Black find a coach for next season.

FC Brugge travels to Cercle (1:30 p.m.) to try to start a climb up the rankings. But the Gazelles will have to do without an essential pawn. Simon Mignolet (36 years old) was injured after 10 minutes of play in the last match of the classic phase, and is not yet back.

It is unknown when the Club’s number 1 will return, but his absence had been announced as being to be counted in weeks. In his absence, it is Nordin Jackers who will defend the Bruges nets. This is the second absence in a short time for Mignolet, already injured during two matches in early March.

FC Bruges is 9 lengths behind Union Saint-Gilloise, and a victory is therefore already almost obligatory to hope to achieve a fantastic comeback. To do this, Hayen can count, apart from Mignolet, on a complete core.
