The Chilean Olympic Committee designated the pelota player Renato Bolelli (19 years old) and the tennis player Fernanda Araneda (18) as flag bearers for the first Bolivarian Youth Gameswhich will take place between April 4 and 14 in Sucre (Bolivia).

The national delegation will be made up of 184 athletes. The president of the Chilean Olympic Committee, Miguel Ángel Mujica, comments on the importance of the event. “It is a pride for our Olympic Committee to have such a large delegation of young athletes, many of whom will have their debut with Team Chile. We are sure that it will be an event that they will not forget, and that will motivate them to continue representing our country in high performance.”

Bolelli, the only athlete from the delegation to be a medalist in Santiago 2023and Araneda will carry the national flag at the inauguration on Friday the 5th, which will take place at the Patria Olympic Stadium.

“I am very happy to be a flag bearer. For me it is a pride, an honor. I hope to leave Chile as high as possible. This is what I did in Rosario 2022 and in Santiago 2023, so we are going for gold,” said the Basque pelota athlete.
