Celebrating Sports and Democracy in Bruguières: A Recap of Olympic Week and Call for Volunteers

The end of these 15 days dedicated to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the town’s schools. These 2 weeks, organized by teachers in collaboration with the FCPE and the town hall, allowed students to learn about sports thanks to the participation of local associations: boxing with the TNT Fighters, running with the DDX, football with the BSC, handball with the BOC 31, judo with the Lions of Bruguières, rugby with the RC Saint-Jory/Bruguières XV, Sport Boules, taekwondo and tennis. This project was an opportunity to work on the habits and customs of the country that each class represented and to cultivate the values ​​of Olympicism: Respect, equality, sharing, friendship, courage… A week very appreciated by the children.

Looking for volunteers

The city is looking for volunteers for the missions of assessors and scrutineers for the European elections on June 9. Volunteers must be of legal age and registered on the Bruguières electoral lists. The assessor verifies the identity of the voter and ensures that he is at the correct polling station or has him sign on the voting list. The scrutineer participates in counting the ballots at the end of the vote. They will be accompanied by municipal staff.
