Celebrating Olympic and Paralympic Spirit in Bonson: A Successful Week of Activities

Good sound. BONSON ON OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC TIME.. For the second year, the municipality participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Week organized each year by the Ministry of National Education in partnership with the French Sports Movement. A program of activities was set up from April 2 to 4 by two local elected officials (Sandrine Noirie and Marie-Catherine Goiran) and Audrey Juban, territorial educator of physical and sporting activities. Several elected officials as well as numerous volunteers helped organize these days during which the school, seniors and elected officials lived to the rhythm of Olympic and Paralympic sport through different disciplines.

These include football, archery, judo, handball and gymnastics. A “blind” route as well as the use of a joëlette with volunteers from the Générosi’trail association made it possible to approach the Paralympic disciplines.

In total, 322 students from the school, from the main section of nursery to CM2, participated in these different workshops; the seniors, for their part, practiced gentle gymnastics and aquagym. This week ended in the school playground with cups being handed out to each class.

Furthermore, Bonson, a municipality labeled “Terre de jeux 2024”, participated on April 9 with Veauche, Feurs and Balbigny, in a “Terre de jeux” day which took place in Veauche with the participation of a class from each common.
