Celebrating International Athletes: Highlights from Olympic and Paralympic Week

The 4th edition of Olympic and Paralympic Week (SOP) on the theme “Let’s celebrate games and athletes from around the world” allowed CM2 students to be introduced to original sporting disciplines such as capoeira, a Brazilian discipline, and baseball , from the United States.

The SOP ended on Friday April 5 during a meeting with two former high-level athletes: Stéphane Molliens, multiple Paralympic medalist in table tennis and Monique Éwanjé-Épée, great champion of the 60 meters and 100 meters hurdles who still holds the French record. The students were able to discuss their respective careers and their lives as high-level athletes.

In addition to CM2, the students practiced 30 minutes of sport per day and took up the challenges proposed by Paris 2024. To continue this great dynamic, the town and the town’s municipal sports office are proposing a “2024 club project”, Saturday August 3, from 6 p.m. to midnight. On the program: a broadcast of the Olympic events on the big screen, sports activities and demonstrations and many other surprises.
